In case you didn’t know, TED stands for Technology, Entertainment and Design their tag line is “ideas worth spreading.”  and they do that! TED talks launched in 1984, and there are now more than 1,400 videos available online.1. Brené Brown: The Power of VulnerabilityI first saw Brené Brown speak at the 2012 Leadership Investment, Women’s Success Summit.  Her talk was authentic, hard hitting and really resonated for me.  At that time I was in the midst of writing my book Cultivate: The Power of Winning Relationships and had just finished writing a chapter on relationship mindset… that included the concept of courage and vulnerability. I love these moments of connection! 2. Amy Cuddy: Your body language shapes who you areBody language affects how others see us, but it may also change how we see ourselves. Social psychologist Amy Cuddy shows how “power posing” — standing in a posture of confidence, even when we don’t feel confident — can affect testosterone and cortisol levels in the brain, and might even have an impact on our chances for success.And in case you are wondering… yes we have had over 100 leaders standing up and power posing during a program… and it is ENERGIZING!3.
