Hail Season is Approaching! Time to Review Your Auto Insurance Policy.

By Mike Ross - May 18, 2020

BODY SHOP TIP: With hail season approaching, now is the time to review your auto insurance policy.  There are 3 optional coverages that we would recommend:
  • Comprehensive coverage: Covers damages to your vehicle caused by non-accident-related incidents or factors, such as theft, vandalism, extreme weather, and wildlife (minus the cost of your deductible).
  • Rental car reimbursement coverage: Typically pays for rental car costs when your vehicle's damages are covered by your comprehensive or collision coverages (also may cover ride share services, taxi or public transportation costs).  A year of coverage typically costs less than a one-day rental expense.
  • Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) coverage: In the event that your vehicle is damaged in an accident, having OEM coverage would mean that the parts needed would be replaced with original factory parts. Without purchasing this coverage, your insurance company may only pay for after-market or used parts.
Every insurance company has different policies based on many factors, so please contact your insurance agent with any questions regarding your coverage.
